Already in development, an HBO series based on Anthony Kiedis’ childhood/teen years as detailed in his autobiography Scar Tissue
Drama, tentatively titled “Scar Tissue” (the name of Kiedis’ autobiography), centers on the rocker’s early years living in West Hollywood with his father. At that time, Kiedis’ dad, known as Spider, sold drugs and mingled with rock stars on the Sunset Strip, all while aspiring to get into showbiz (Daily Variety, Nov. 12).
Catapult 360 partners Marc Abrams and Michael Benson, who partnered with Kiedis to create the series, said John Sayles hit it off with the rock star. Sayles has been meeting with both Kiedis and Kiedis’ father as he starts to write the script.
“John writes from a real human place, and has already tapped into the relationship between young Anthony and his dad,” Abrams said.
The series will be set in 1970s West Hollywood and Los Angeles and include the rockers encountered by Kiedis and his father (who, according to legend, was a drug dealer for the Who and Led Zeppelin, among others).
Also, from EW.com:
Kiedis says that the show will feature, quote, “naked women and profanity.” Finally, Kiedis promises, “It will have one of the best soundtracks on TV.”

i’m normally not a sappy, wedding-obsessed type of girl. i say just round everybody up, drive out to Vegas, get liquored up and married at the Elvis wedding chapel.
but this couple’s 1920’s themed wedding is so sweet. and just look at the western union telegram invites.
